There are several differences between "formal" and "informal" DJ events.
For a formal wedding or dance event we bump our service up a notch. We walk you through the music selections, arrive and set up early to play dinner/cocktail music, wear formal clothing, and announce (m/c) the events. We help you plan the flow of your event and we meet with you in person if you so desire to review your big day. We are available to you by phone or email until your event.
An "informal" package is more like a birthday party or anniversary. We talk with you about the music you'd like, but spend less time planning your event because it's not as demanding as a formal event. We show up (usually in jeans and a dress shirt) and play music while people dance. It's much more casual, there's usually no announcing or m/c work and it's, well…. Informal ;)
